Eye On The Prize

When I was initially thinking about doing a second marathon, one of my thoughts was that I would try and better my time (4:46:46) from the Dublin Marathon. The more I have read about NYC though the more I realize that finish time is unimportant. It's going to be about the experience - 37,000+ runners, 5 boroughs, millions of spectators, etc.
Of course, it's also about the funds that I will be raising to support the Canadian Diabetes Association and the awareness that I hope to bring to this growing health crisis.
So, to remind me to keep my eye on the real prize - a finisher's medal - I am posting this picture.
