A Big Day

Today is a very special day in our household. My baby girl is graduating from high school!!

Like every parent I left to wonder where the years have gone. Wasn't it only a couple of months ago that Jill walked her to Spring Park kindergarten in Charlottetown PEI? Wasn't it a few weeks ago that she entered Nashwaaksis Middle School as a cute little Grade 6'er? Wasn't it just yesterday that she hopped on the bus to Leo Hayes High School?

Tonight she receives her diploma and tomorrow morning she heads off to Racine, Quebec in the Eastern Townships to spend the summer working at the Grison Farm horseback riding camp. Horses are her passion and so you can imagine her excitement.

Once camp finishes in mid-August she'll be home for a week or so and then off to the University of Prince Edward Island to study Science in their pre-veterinary stream, with the ultimate goal of being admitted to the Atlantic Veterinary College so that she can become a large animal (think horses!) vet.

We are of course so proud of her and are thrilled that she is pursuing her dreams but why did she have to grow up so fast?
