Peter & Chris' European Extravaganza
In just over two weeks my 16-year old son Chris and I will be leaving for a month-long trip to Europe. Plans are still a daily-developing matter but so far here is what I have:
June 27/28 - overnight flight Halifax-Frankfurt
June 29 to July 4 - rental car - touring the Black Forest (Baden-Baden, Lahr, Triberg, Freiberg) then to Switzerland (2 nights in a mountain hostel in Grinnelwald) and back to Baden-Baden.
July 4 - fly Baden-Baden to Rome (Ryan Air - $150 for 2 taxes in)
July 4 - 8 - Rome
July 8-10 - Florence - staying at a convent hostel!
July 10-12 - Venice
July 12 - fly Venice to Paris (MyAir - $150 for 2 taxes in)
July 12-16 - Paris
July 17 - Vimy Ridge
July 18-19 - Ypres & Brussels Belgium
July 20-22 - Amsterdam
July 23-26 - London
July 27 - fly London-Halifax
